Energy saving check list
- Invest in new high efficiency compressors such as Hydrovane RS models with premium motors & energy saving drives to reduce your energy costs by up to 50%
- Use controllers to modulate and optimally sequence multiple single speed compressor arrangements to automatically ensure their most efficient deployment to suit air demand.
- Install zero loss condensate drains into your condensate management system and check that your system is working correctly and there is no constant bleed of air.
- Reduce your air leaks and non-process use of compressed air, a typical industrial system has been shown to have leak rates in excess of 25% and up to 60%!
- Ensure correct sizing of your pipework and opt for low friction smooth bore aluminum pipework on new installations such as our Infinity range to increase flow rates and reduce pressure drop.
- Provide additional compressed air receiving tank capacity to reduce frequent compressor cycling and introduce local air receivers for end-usage with high or frequent demand.
- Change line filter elements regularly as blocked filters will restrict the air flow increasing the power needed to run the compressor.
- Reduce air usage by lowering your system pressure and always shut down your compressor when it is not needed!
